The
De Cloet Automatic Harvester
Dump Box Style
The De Cloet Automatic Harvester is a high
clearance, self-propelled machine, designed
to mechanically remove ripe tobacco leaves
from the stalks. Flexible? You Bet! De Cloet
technology lets you adjust travel and header
speed, the number of leaves to be pulled
(once the sand leaves are off) and the
number of times you pass through your crop.
Thanks to a simpler design, plus some
innovative thinking, De Cloet combines
significantly reduce maintenance time. It's
this dedication to simplicity that also make
De Cloet combines the most user friendly
equipment on the market. Powered by a
John Deere 80 HP engine, De Cloet's
3-wheel hydrostatic drive features the
shortest possible turning radius, which
saves considerable harvesting time.
In the field, De Cloet's exclusive
"soft touch" defoliators remove the
leaves from the plants, without damage.
Leaves are then transported to a box or
trailer via a special belt, even if
leaves are wet. Once in the box or
trailer, hydraulically powered blowers
distribute the leaves evenly. To gather
tips, DeCloet's exclusive tipper bar
removes leaves in a downward motion
similar to hand picking. Leaves are
harvested cleanly at the stalk without,
tipping for maximum yield.
